Big Thank You to Mu User Group
by Dave Kresse on 26 June 2009 - 11:08:23 AM
I was fortunate to be
part of Mu's initial Bay Area Mu User Group (MUG) last night in Milpitas. One of our earliest customers
provided an outstanding perspective on the challenges all of Mu operator, NEM and Government customers face around ensuring resiliency in the face of increasingly complex converged
environments.
He also reinforced the increased responsibility that service
providers and vendors have today as they take ownership of real-time IP applications and services support increasingly
critical business processes (e.g. 911, Cyberwar prevention). When products or services fail unexpectedly or are compromised, it is
no longer just inconvenient. People are significantly impacted.
It was great
to hear his content, but what I gained was a deep appreciation for his
passion in living up to the trust he feels his customers place in
him - in all of us. On a related note, another Mu executive was presenting with a Government customer this week - also presenting to his peers like the MUG - at IANS Lonestar Forum in Dallas. Product and process survivability were paramount here over two days presenting to numerous operator, vendor and government agency peers involved in varied real-time applications including Smart Grid initiatives.
Last night's MUG also drove
home both the importance and the strength of the ecosystem relationship Mu has with
our customers. At its core, our continued success as a company is based on the
deep relationships we have with our customers. We are partners and Mu has benefited
greatly from the feedback our customers have given us over the years. In 20 years of my professional experiences, I have never seen a company do a better job than Mu does of bringing new products to
market that are such a close fit out of the gate for solving customer pain
points. The spirit of vendor, operator and supplier collaboration was in full effect at the MUG and IANS gatherings.
Finally, and perhaps
most important, the User Group highlighted the irreplaceable value our users gain from
interacting with one another. On more than one occasion, I heard customers
exploring use cases with one another and learning how to leverage our solution
more fully within their organizations to bring their products and services to
market faster, at lower costs and with higher quality. Our users represent true thought leaders
in the testing industry. Watching them work with one another to brainstorm how
specific challenges could be overcome and the types of challenges our solution
was enabling them to address was very energizing.
A big thank you to all
Mu users, and especially to those who took time out of their schedules to be
with us yesterday. Your feedback around where we help you win is
motivating for every Mu employee. Even more important, your feedback around
new innovations like Mu Studio is essential to helping us do better and will drive Mu as a company to even greater success in the
years ahead.
