Interoperability
testing is a critical aspect of testing IP services that determines if elements
within the service interact with each other as expected, in order to deliver the
desired service capability. The elements can be multiple vendor systems,
multiple versions of software on these systems as well as software processes
within a system. A significant portion of field issues can be traced back to
inadequate Interoperability testing.
Today, vendors as well as operators
are spending millions of dollars in purchasing third party systems for multiple
labs with the goal of performing Interoperability testing. The Mu
