"Safety and security is often viewed as a important cost by most organizations, making it a good candidate for standardization. Both users and their vendors participating in open certification standardization efforts such as Mu Dynamics' new MUSIC program realize that standardization can help control costs, accelerate plant safety or security programs to higher levels, and provide a framework for satisfying increasing regulation and compliance requirements.
