Dave Kresse
CEO

Dave Kresse is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of Mu Dynamics. Previously, he was the VP and general manager of the storage management and application integration business unit at NetApp [NASDAQ: NTAP], where he led the company’s rapidly growing application integration and data/storage management software business. Prior to joining NetApp, Dave led product marketing at Leapfrog Enterprises, where he managed the development and introduction of eight new product lines. He was also part of the executive team at PowerSchool, Inc. (acquired by Apple Computer), growing its revenue and customer base nearly 10-fold over a two year period, and served as a case team leader and consultant at Bain & Company, a strategy consulting firm. Dave holds a BA degree in human biology from Stanford University and an MBA degree with distinction from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Ajit Sancheti
Co-founder and Vice President of Business Development

Ajit Sancheti co-founded Mu Dynamics and currently runs its business development strategy and activities. Before Mu Dynamics, Ajit was a Senior Manager in Juniper’s Corporate Development Group; he was an instrumental member of the team that developed the industry’s first Intrusion Detection and Prevention system for OneSecure before it was acquired by NetScreen. Prior to OneSecure, Ajit spent more than seven years at Western Digital, holding various senior-level engineering and management positions. Ajit has authored several papers, focusing on mechanical engineering, and holds U.S. patents on acoustics and vibration technologies. He has a Masters in engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Kowsik Guruswamy
Co-founder and CTO

Kowsik Guruswamy co-founded Mu Dynamics and continues to drive its innovative spirit as the CTO. Prior to founding Mu Dynamics, he was a Distinguished Engineer at Juniper Networks and the Chief Architect for their Intrusion Prevention product line. Kowsik joined Juniper Networks through acquisitions – he designed and architected the industry’s first inline Intrusion Prevention device for OneSecure, which was acquired by NetScreen and, in turn, acquired by Juniper. He holds 8 patents in various networking and security technologies and has an MS in computer science from the University of Louisiana.

Steve Mallard
Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Steve Mallard leads the sales organization for Mu Dynamics. Steve previously enjoyed highly successful careers at a variety of industry leaders, including Sun Microsystems, EMC Corporation, Network Appliance, and Riverbed Technology. He has a track record of identifying key industry players at an early stage in their evolution and building the right sales organization to maximize the market opportunity. Steve brings more than 25 years of technology sales and leadership experience to Mu Dynamics. Steve holds a BS degree in computer science from the University of Leeds, UK.

Simon Berman
Vice President of Products

Simon Berman is responsible for product marketing and management at Mu Dynamics. He previously spent two years with AtHoc as their VP of Marketing. Prior to AtHoc, he spent more than 12 years at Mercury Interactive (now part of Hewlett-Packard), as Senior Director of Products, where he helped build the company’s load testing business to more than 70% market share, with annual revenues exceeding $250M. Simon also spent three years as a software engineer at Radcom developing networking test equipment. He holds an MS in computer science from University College London and a BS in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College, London.

Paul Emery
Vice President of Engineering

Paul Emery leads the engineering team at Mu Dynamics. He brings more than 18 years of global software engineering and technology management experience in the enterprise software and financial services industries. Prior to Mu Dynamics, Paul was the VP of Engineering and Technical Services at Visible Path and the VP of Server Technologies at Oracle, the VP of Engineering and Client Services at FaceTime Communications, and VP of Engineering at Vignette, where he led the successful product integration efforts of several of Vignette’s strategic acquisitions. Paul joined Vignette through its acquisition of enterprise portal pioneer Epicentric, where he was also the VP of Engineering. He holds an AB degree in physics from Harvard.

Stuart Sawyer
Vice President of Finance and Administration

Stuart Sawyer is heads up Mu Dynamics’ finance operations. He brings over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurial software and services companies. He was previously the Controller for Six Apart, Ltd, a software and services social networking company that provides blogging tools on hosted subscription services and software licensing models, as well as an ad-media services revenue stream. Prior to Six Apart, Stuart was the VP Finance and Controller for FaceTime Communications, a developer of applications for auditing, logging, compliance, and security solutions centered on instant messaging and other real-time communications. Stuart has also held finance roles with three other venture-backed enterprise software companies. Stuart holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the California State University, Northridge, and an MBA from the California State University, Long Beach.
